We are so excited to welcome Shon to our coaching staff! He grew up in Hoyt, Kansas, where he played baseball and football. While attending Kansas State University, he learned his first racquet sport: racquetball. After graduating college, Shon was hired as an English Language Arts teacher and assistant tennis coach at Topeka West High School.

During his time at Topeka West, the tennis program produced three state doubles champions, numerous state medalists, and a team state championship!

This August, Shon will begin a new role as the gifted teacher at Washburn Rural Middle School. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing tennis, and being a proud girl dad.
